PESCARA, Abruzzo

Sole a Pescara

190 sunny days per year!

Our projects are not limited to the city center itself—we also work with companies and organizations in the wider area, including beautiful towns like Chieti, Montesilvano, Silvi Marina, Spoltore, Pineto and Ortona, providing participants with a diverse range of professional experiences across the region.

Pescara is a vibrant coastal city located on the Adriatic Sea in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. As the largest city in the region, it enjoys a strategic position for tourism, commerce, and international connections, with an airport, a university and excellent transport links that make it easily accessible. Its location between the mountains and the sea allows residents and visitors to enjoy both stunning beaches and nearby natural parks.

Cultural & Natural Beauty

The city is known for its lively cultural scene, with theaters, museums, and annual festivals celebrating music, literature, and the arts. Nature lovers can explore the nearby Majella and Gran Sasso mountains, or enjoy relaxing days along the long sandy beaches and scenic coastal promenades.

Authentic Cuisine

Pescara is also a food lover’s paradise. The local cuisine, or cucina pescarese, is famous for its fresh seafood, particularly dishes like brodetto alla pescarese (a traditional fish stew), grilled fish, and arrosticini (skewered lamb from the nearby mountains) as well as the famous pallotte cacio e ova. Olive oil, fresh pasta, and locally produced wines complete the authentic culinary experience.

Whether for study, work, or cultural exchange, Pescara offers a perfect combination of modern city life, natural beauty, and rich Italian culture, making it an ideal destination for international mobility programs.
