About the Course
STEAM FOR EDUCATORS
Inspiring Learning Through Innovation
Methodology:
In this course, we will use the methodology of project-based learning. Through different projects, we will accompany our teachers in the STEM educational approach, as a new method, new techniques of teaching, new content and tools. The STEM educator is more than a lecturer, but also a creator, orchestrator and manager. So, with this training series, we not only teach our teachers how to teach STEM courses but also how to manage resources and use it as one tool to introduce different traditional disciplines, such as mathematics, art, science.
Objectives:
1. Skills, structures and digital tools for STE(A)M educators;
2. How to design and create educational activities related to STE(A)M;
3. Introduce different resources and support platforms for the STE(A)M educator;
4. Classroom management and laboratory management for STE(A)M education;
5. Project-based case study with different topics.
Our STEM Education Philosophy:
We focus on designing our participants’ learning experience.
We try to maximize their learning efficiency with technological and practical solutions.
We integrate different disciplines into each project designed to relate the learning that takes place in the classroom with the real world.
Through learning by doing, we highlight and emphasise the importance of collaboration,
communication, research, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.

DAILY PROGRAMME
MONDAY
Topic: Electronics and Renewable Energy
In this lesson, we will present the basic concepts of electricity, electrons and energy. Participants will be introduced to different types of renewable energy resources by engaging in various activities to help them understand the transformation of energy (solar, water and wind) into electricity.
TUESDAY
Topic: Game Design
In this lesson, we will use different software to create 2D and 3D games, for smartphones and VR / AR devices. Through fun projects to stimulate participants’ skills in logic, math, geometry and coding.
WEDNESDAY
Topic: Robotics & Drones
In the 3rd lesson, we will show different educational kits and resources for robotic learning for different ages of students. Through several workshops, participants will not only learn how to tinker and create robots or drones by hand, but they will also have to program their robots to give them intelligence and life. Teachers can learn how to design robotic activities within their scope.
THURSDAY
Topic: Digital Fabrication / Art
Artists are finding new applications for 3D printing technologies in their work. Starting to approach a software of easy and intuitive 3D modeling like Tinkercad, and by observing the 3D printer in action, participants will be able to stimulate their curiosity and fantasy, understanding how it is possible to make objects from scratch.
FRIDAY
Topic: IoT / AI
On the last day we will go to the discovery of all those everyday objects that, connected to the internet, we can remotely control. We will introduce, therefore, different tools such as sensors, cameras, wifi, the cloud ... to create fun and innovative projects!
In this way the participants will have a first approach with the world of IoT and AI and will learn to associate it with daily life.
